ARLANDRIA NEIGHBORHOOD PROPOSED DEVELOPMENT (2025)

PRE-LEASING WILL START IN 2024-2025

Housing Alexandria will create 474 units of affordable housing, 36,000 SF of commercial space and a two-level underground parking garage near the intersection of West Glebe Rd and Mt. Vernon Ave. All units would be for households making up to 80% of the Area Median Income (AMI); 105 units will be deeply affordable at 40% AMI.
The interior architecture, is crafting 66,000 SF of interior and 27,533 SF of exterior amenities, ensuring each space reflects the local culture. The project includes two towers, each with amenities like a classroom & work area, family lounge, club lounge, fitness center & oasis, and an outdoor lounge, alongside a community lounge, family cantina, and party room.
The project is closely tied to city goals, including proximity to transit investments, job centers, and improvements in stormwater management. The groundbreaking ceremony took place in October 2023, marking the start of the largest affordable housing project in Alexandria, reflecting a culmination of various policies and goals aimed at enhancing the community's well-being.
