About the Project

Following the successful launch of the ‘Unlocking Inclusion’ exhibit at San Diego’s Special Olympics UCS Conference in February 2019, Special Olympics and MOYA unveiled an expanded version of the exhibit at the prestigious SXSW® EDU Conference in Austin, TX. Special Olympics Unified Champion Schools promotes sports and leadership opportunities for students with and without intellectual disabilities. The program is designed to be woven into the fabric of participating schools, creating a socially inclusive environment that supports and engages all learners.

The South by Southwest® (SXSW) EDU Conference “cultivates and empowers a community of engaged stakeholders to advance teaching and learning.” The ninth annual conference, held in March 2019, included four days of workshops, panels, discussions, networking, and more. Located in Bay 40 of the SXSW EDU expo, ‘Unlocking Inclusion’ included interactive narratives, dynamic textures, colorful LED lights, and audiovisual media to attract educators from around the globe into the comprehensive Special Olympics UCS campaign narrative.

The exhibit’s concept, structure, content, LED look, and the Unified Generation Tribune exhibit guide promoting diversity and inclusion in schools. Our design team was honored to work with Special Olympics to help attendees experience and learn about the benefits of Special Olympics’ inclusive UCS program.

About the Project

Ocean + Collins is an exclusive 18+ enclave that combines the sophistication of fine dining with the relaxed charm of a luxury beach club. Located at the aft of a stunning vessel, it offers adult guests the perfect setting to savor world-class cuisine, enjoy a refreshing cocktail at the poolside bar, swim in the infinity pool, or simply unwind while admiring the ever-changing ocean views.

For this project, we crafted a comprehensive brand and marketing strategy designed to capture the venue’s unique essence — the seamless blend of gourmet dining and a vibrant beach club atmosphere. This fusion makes Ocean + Collins a true sanctuary for travelers seeking a one-of-a-kind culinary experience on the open seas.

The name Ocean + Collins was carefully selected to reflect both maritime excellence and culinary distinction. Its brand mark features a stylized fish, a symbolic representation of the oceanic spirit and a direct link to the restaurant’s identity.

To convey a sense of refinement, the visual identity incorporates elegant serif typography, evoking a timeless, classic aesthetic. This choice reinforces the restaurant’s dedication to delivering an experience that is not only memorable and delicious, but also rooted in the values of quality, sophistication, and the artistry of seafood cuisine.

The brand’s color palette reflects the vibrant spirit of the ocean and the culinary world, creating a visually appetizing expression of our seafood experience.

About the Project

Founded in 2013, Mack Real Estate Group (MREG) is a New York-based integrated real estate firm with expertise across development, operations, investment, and lending. For their newest residential community in Phoenix, Arizona — Bloom at Deer Valley — MREG envisioned a place for young, educated, and active professionals seeking an affordable yet design-forward lifestyle.

To bring this vision to life, MOYA Creative crafted a holistic brand and marketing strategy that would resonate with this audience and position Bloom as a vibrant and attainable place to live.

The name Bloom was carefully chosen to symbolize growth, beauty, and vitality — values at the heart of the community. It also evokes freshness, new beginnings, and a strong connection to the desert landscape of Arizona.

The brand mark features a stylized blooming flower — a simple yet powerful icon that anchors the visual identity and reinforces the name. This organic form introduces softness and warmth to the brand while speaking directly to the idea of natural evolution and community flourishing.

Typography was approached with livability in mind. The thoughtful mix of serif and sans-serif typefaces strikes a balance between comfort and clarity, helping the brand feel both accessible and refined — a visual metaphor for attainable design.

The color palette draws directly from the landscape: earthy terracottas, spartan greens, sun-warmed siennas, and creamy neutrals. These tones root the brand in place, creating an immediate sense of belonging and harmony with the surroundings.

Through a cohesive visual and verbal system, MOYA Creative gave Bloom at Deer Valley an identity that not only reflects the aspirations of its residents, but also amplifies MREG’s vision of community-focused, attainable living.

Bloom at Deer Valley’s vivid branding and messaging won two gold MUSE awards in 2023 in the categories of corporate brand identity and corporate identity, logos.

About the Project

MRP Realty is a leading owner, developer, and operator of commercial and real estate, with a focus on strategic investment and development in growth markets in the eastern US.

One of MRP Realty’s newest residential projects is The Bridge, a 100% affordable housing development in the historic Anacostia neighborhood and steps away from the local metro station.

We collaborated with MRP Realty on a complete branding and design strategy, encompassing elements such as brand visual identity, wayfinding, and collateral material design.

The first step was to create a name and brand identity for this development. Through research of the neighborhood, Creative team came up with a shortlist of names that evoke thoughts of community, heritage, and inclusion. “The Bridge” was selected since it inspired the idea that communities are built from things that connect us, and from people that transform that place into a home.

This narrative of building a growing and connected community is echoed on the website, with a visual tour of MRP Realty’s vision of developing a thriving family-friendly neighborhood. User experience is fluid, as visitors can easily navigate the menus to find information about the development, whether it is about building amenities, affordable living qualifications, or floorplans.

Recognized at the 2023 MUSE Awards, The Bridge brand strategy received a Gold Winner for Integrated Marketing Campaign and Silver Winner for Brand Identity, Corporate Logo, and Marketing Materials.

About the Project

MOYA Creative developed the brand and identity for Heritage, guiding the project from initial concept to final execution with varied assets and channels. Leveraging expertise in brand creation, an extensive research was conducted into the historical and cultural significance of LeDroit Park, which was instrumental in shaping the brand’s identity. The name “Heritage” was selected to embody the project’s mission of bridging history and modernity.

A comprehensive visual identity was designed, including a logo that artfully merges historical references with modern design. Additionally, a cohesive color palette, typography, and brand assets were developed to reinforce the luxurious and inclusive atmosphere of the Heritage community. Throughout the process, FORMA ensured that every aspect of the brand resonated with the community’s values and the project’s goals.

Beyond brand identity, MOYA Creative created and manages Heritage’s digital presence, ensuring consistent brand messaging and engagement on its webpage and social media account.

About the Project

Calya is a boutique hospitality brand that embodies intentional living through space, rhythm, and presence. Developed as a sanctuary of stillness in the heart of movement, Calya unites design, wellness, and hospitality under a single, cohesive vision. Rooted in Colombian culture and inspired by its natural and artisanal richness, the brand evokes a refined, immersive experience—one that invites calm, connection, and a return to self.

MOYA Creative led the complete branding process for Calya, beginning with strategic naming and evolving into a comprehensive visual identity system. We crafted the brand’s logo, color palette, typography, and messaging—all designed to express softness, warmth, and depth. Every element, from the tactile textures to the muted tones, reflects a philosophy of thoughtful design and purposeful luxury.

Our work extended beyond the visual to include the creation of a detailed brand manual, construction signage, and ongoing design support for architectural signage. We are also designing Calya’s website and digital presence, ensuring a seamless narrative across both physical and digital environments.

Calya’s brand is built as a story—told through form, rhythm, and care. It establishes the foundation for a new kind of hospitality experience—one defined by clarity, craft, and quiet elegance.

Every detail is guided by purpose—designed to slow you down, invite reflection, and reconnect you with what matters.

Moya Design Partners developed a bold concept to reimagine the headquarters of the Society for Science in Washington, D.C., transforming the historic rowhouse space into a dynamic, collaborative environment that reflects the organization’s mission to advance scientific literacy and innovation.

The design vision embraces a modern, clean aesthetic while honoring the building’s architectural legacy. We proposed a thoughtful integration of flexible workspaces, vibrant collaboration zones, and interactive exhibition areas—balancing heritage with innovation. The reconfigured layout fosters openness and connectivity, with strategic use of glass, light, and minimalist detailing to maximize transparency and natural flow between departments.

Key features include adaptable meeting rooms, technology-enabled presentation spaces, and dedicated zones for scientific storytelling. Environmental graphics and brand-infused design elements reflect the Society’s commitment to empowering young scientists and engaging the public with the power of research and discovery.

This concept positions the Society for Science to lead by example, offering a high-performance, inspiring workplace that supports its evolving programs, values, and future growth in the heart of D.C.’s scientific and policy landscape.

At Moya Design Partners, we envisioned the interior design for Goodwin Living at The View Alexandria as a refined and welcoming environment that redefines senior living. Our approach blends the comfort and elegance of a luxury boutique hotel with the accessibility and warmth needed for a vibrant residential community. Every detail—from material selection to furniture and lighting—was chosen to support active, connected, and joyful lifestyles for older adults.

The lobby welcomes residents and guests with high ceilings, warm wood finishes, and modern lighting, anchored by a custom concierge desk beneath a sculptural ceiling feature. Throughout the building, natural light and rich textures create spaces that feel both open and intimate. The formal dining room draws inspiration from Mediterranean aesthetics, with arched mirrors, terrazzo-style flooring, and soft, earthy tones that enhance its elegance.

We also designed fitness and wellness areas to promote holistic health, incorporating modern equipment and spaces for group classes, along with spa-like amenities. Social spaces like game rooms and lounges use inviting palettes and tactile finishes to encourage engagement and interaction.

This design reflects our belief that senior living should be beautiful, emotionally resonant, and built to support dignity and vitality. With this project, we sought to create a place that feels like home—a place where residents are proud to live and where comfort, community, and quality are woven into every element.

Project Details

Moya Design Partners developed the concept interior design for Hillandale Gateway, a transformative mixed-use development in Montgomery County, Maryland. Envisioned as a vibrant, inclusive, and sustainable community, Hillandale Gateway integrates mixed-income residential living with retail, amenities, and public space. The project supports a diverse population and aims to foster long-term neighborhood growth through thoughtful, equitable development.

Our interior design concept was rooted in the values of community, connection, and wellness. We proposed a clean, modern aesthetic complemented by warm, neutral palettes, natural textures, and layered lighting. These elements came together to create interiors that are both comfortable and timeless. Balancing budget-conscious decisions with high-impact design, we emphasized durability, affordability, and style to enhance the everyday experience for residents.

The mixed-use layout of Hillandale Gateway includes affordable and market-rate housing, ground-floor retail, and shared public amenities. Moya’s concept design brought cohesion to these varied spaces through a unified design language and strategic space planning. Key features included flexible community rooms, coworking lounges, fitness areas, and vibrant lobbies—each designed to welcome, inspire, and support residents and visitors alike.

Sustainability and equity were central to our vision. The design supports the project’s goals of achieving Enterprise Green Communities or LEED certification by aligning with green building principles. Materials and finishes were selected for their low environmental impact, longevity, and ease of maintenance. The Hillandale Gateway concept illustrates Moya Design Partners’ commitment to creating inclusive, future-forward environments that meet the needs of diverse communities through thoughtful, human-centered design.
