St. Elizabeth’s East Report
The revitalized, 183-acre campus of St. Elizabeth’s East is a historic investment for Washington, D.C. This mixed-use center for excellence is an adaptive update of historic buildings with the goal of generating economic opportunities, expanding retail and housing choices, and diversifying the city’s infrastructure — all the while envisioning the future of office, housing, open space, and cultural amenities in Congress Heights.
Using a consistent visual style and graphic design elements, the St. Elizabeth’s East Report complements the city’s mission by emphasizing sustainable technologies, preservation of historic buildings, and the project’s economic and social values. Textured paper evokes the progressive, grassroots nature of the plan, as well as enlivening the report’s full-page, hand-drawn watercolor illustrations. This custom design announces the success of St. Elizabeth’s East with forward-looking energy and enthusiasm.
