Reunion Square

Reunion Square is a mixed-use housing project along Martin Luther King Jr. Ave in southeast Washington. This V-shaped complex offers retail and public amenities and a rebuild of the historic Anacostia Playhouse. It was one of the first major residential developments in Anacostia with a combination of market-rate and affordable townhomes and apartments. 130 units of studios, one-bedrooms, and two-bedrooms include live-work spaces for artists.

The scope of our work included urban planning, architectural design concepts, programming, and layout for the residential component and the building envelope. The overall renewal of Anacostia will deliver nine buildings with nearly 143,000 square feet of retail, 943,000 square feet of office space, and 481 apartments.
