We focused on greening the library and its public spaces. To reach this goal, a crescent-shaped exterior features large glass windows with sweeping city views. In front of the library, a park and public square welcome visitors and provide spaces for employees to convene outdoors. At the south entrance canopy, a large cutout serves as an open and inviting welcome for guests. As an added benefit, white granite panels line the public entrance to create thermal efficiency. Additional sustainable elements include a roof with photovoltaic panels, and a solar hot water system.
