MOYA, as the interior architect, has been instrumental in shaping the interior design and FF&E services for this senior housing complex in Chantilly, VA. We are currently involved in the conceptualization stages, and as the project progresses, we will manage the the implementation of design drawings, material and finish selections, and coordination with the exterior landscaping and building systems.

Avonlea encompasses an interior scope of work of 9,400 SF, which includes the detailed design of building amenities, residential Corridors, and the residential unit entryways. Our design philosophy for this project is driven by our commitment to excellence and the need to create inviting interiors that resonate with the complex’s future residents.

So far, we have engaged in rigorous exercises such as developing preliminary floor plans, verifying compliances with applicable building codes related to life safety (fire detection/protection), ADA, and other requirements. To ensure design flexibility, we are offering at least two options for materials and finishes, including carpets, flooring materials, paints, and wall treatments. Our recommendations for color palettes, finish materials, and accessories will be presented to the client for approval before the finalization and delivery of schedules detailing materials, finishes, doors, and hardware.
