Material & Meaning
The Language of Thread
Thread is at the heart of this collection.
Every luminaire and art piece is constructed from tinted textile threads, layered, tensioned, and suspended to create depth, movement, and softness. Light does not simply pass through these threads, it travels along them revealing gradients, shadows, and subtle shifts that change throughout the day.
This material language is inspired by Wayu (Wayuu) indigenous culture from La Guajira, Colombia, where weaving is both craft and storytelling. In Wayu tradition, weaving is a form of knowledge passed from mother to daughter, an act of wisdom, creativity, and continuity. Geometry, repetition, and color become architectural expressions, encoding history and identity into material form.
In MOYA Living, thread becomes a medium of memory and a quiet connector between past, present, and future. Woven, layered, and suspended, it acts as a soft architectural element that shapes atmosphere without dominance holding space with intention, subtlety, and emotional depth.

Portfolio
Circle of Life
Suspended Textile Artwork
Inspired by indigenous Wayu cosmology, the piece reflects the understanding of life as a continuous loop where ancestors, the living, and future generations exist in constant dialogue. The circular geometries, radial threads, and layered gradients symbolize unity, continuity, and transformation.
This piece also mirrors the designer’s own Colombian heritage, translating ancestral craft into contemporary spatial art. The Circle of Life represents belonging. It is an invitation to experience art, material, and culture as one interconnected system.

Marea
Suspended Luminaire
Marea is movement held in stillness. Inspired by the ebb and flow of water, its suspended textile waves curve naturally under their own weight, forming a vertical rhythm that feels fluid and organic. Light travels upward through the threads, accentuating texture, curvature, and depth.
Constructed entirely from layered textile fibers, Marea introduces softness and motion into space an atmospheric piece that orders without imposing, evoking calm and continuity.
