Projects, Blue is coming

Agape Senior Living: Interiors in Progress

We’re currently developing the interiors for Agape Senior Living in Chantilly, VA — a community rooted in dignity, wellness, and cultural sensitivity. The design team is focused on creating spaces that feel elegant, familiar, and supportive of independent living. Soft palettes, intuitive layouts, and age-inclusive features come together to offer both comfort and clarity. Every detail is chosen to promote calm, confidence, and belonging. More to come as the vision continues to take shape.

Haven by Agape: A Name Built on Care

The name Haven by Agape captures the essence of this senior living community: a peaceful, intentional space designed for aging with dignity. Drawing from cultural research around the word “haven” — often tied to rest, refuge, and healing — the name was chosen to communicate emotional comfort as well as physical safety. Paired with “by Agape,” it honors the original identity while softening the tone into something more personal, graceful, and lifestyle-driven.

Arcola: Thoughtful Interiors for Families

The interiors for Arcola Affordable Housing in Loudoun County are now underway, with a focus on function, durability, and warmth for multigenerational families. The design team approached the project with the idea of “simplicity with purpose,” using resilient materials and a neutral, flexible palette to adapt to different household needs. Each space is crafted to support everyday life, while nurturing a strong sense of place and stability.

Bluewood by Arcola: Naming a Community with Roots

The name Bluewood by Arcola was created to reflect the project’s connection to the land and its long-term role as a home. Rooted in research about the area’s wooded history and quiet strength, the name evokes calm, resilience, and continuity. “Bluewood” brings a sense of identity and character, while “by Arcola” ties it clearly to its location. The brand expression embraces natural tones and simple elegance — reflecting a place that feels grounded, welcoming, and lasting.

Updates

Team Tools: ClickUp University + Security Training

During the meeting, we had a light moment about adding “fixing Fede’s hair” to ClickUp (don’t worry, we won’t). But in all seriousness, Juan Carlos reminded the team about two important resources:

  • The Cybersecurity Training is mandatory for everyone — a must for keeping our systems and data safe.
  • The ClickUp University is not required, but highly recommended for anyone looking to better understand how to use the platform effectively.

Juan Carlos confirmed he’ll be sending the links and reminders soon. Take some time to explore both — one’s essential, the other’s a smart investment in your workflow.

Proposals & Pursuits: Year-to-Date Snapshot

This month, we took a look at the full list of proposals submitted so far in 2025, and it’s clear how much ground the team has covered across architecture, interiors, and creative scopes.

From early-year pursuits to recent submissions, the list reflects a wide range of efforts — including multi-phase opportunities, new client relationships, and strategic re-engagements with past collaborators. It’s a strong body of work that shows the reach and adaptability of the team.

As we wait to hear back on several active leads, this year-to-date momentum is something to be proud of. Thank you to everyone involved in crafting proposals, managing forms, coordinating teams, and keeping us competitive.

Calya: Recognition Already Underway

Calya has officially received its first industry awards, marking an exciting milestone for the project and the team behind it.

As shared in the meeting, the recognition speaks to Calya’s strength not only as a design concept, but as a fully integrated vision — from development and architecture to branding and guest experience.

More news to come as additional awards are announced. In the meantime, a big congratulations to the full team involved.

Calya: Telling the Story Through Social Media

We’ve officially kicked off the social media rollout for Calya, starting with a post that introduces the project itself — a luxury short-stay development in Medellín designed around wellness, intentional living, and connection to place.

The first post, shared by Romina, sets the tone for the series: it presents Calya as a space where architecture, nature, and rest intersect. Rather than revealing too much too fast, the approach is to build intrigue — inviting the audience into Calya’s atmosphere through slow, immersive storytelling.

This strategy will continue in the coming weeks, blending architecture, materials, and site context to position Calya as a destination in the making.

Check the video on our social channels to see how it begins.

Team Buzz

Fer is back! Alright!

We’re happy to share that Fernando is back with the team!
It’s great to have him around again — his presence, support, and perspective have been missed.
Welcome back, Fer. We’re glad you’re here.

Pigs, Mountain and Cocktails Hobbies

In our latest MOYA Show & Tell, we got a peek into the hobbies of three team members — and it did not disappoint.
Laura shared her collection of piggy banks from different places, Nico talked about his hiking adventures on long and demanding trails, and, as no secret to anyone, Johnathan showcased his love for cocktails.
From design to hobbies, this team’s creativity clearly knows no bounds.

Welcome to MOYA, Oscar!

We’re happy to welcome Oscar Jaimes as our new Director of Strategic Communications and PR. In just a couple of weeks, Oscar has already jumped into strategy, storytelling, and team connection.
We’re excited for what’s ahead and grateful to have him on board — welcome to the team, Oscar!

Flor: First of Her Name, Pioneer of ClickUp University

While the rest of us are still toggling between boards and wondering where our task went, Flor quietly became the first team member to earn her ClickUp University certificate — Novice level.

She didn’t have to. She just did. Out of curiosity, initiative, and possibly a thirst for workflow domination.

Now she knows things the rest of us don’t (yet), and we respect that.
Trailblazer, overachiever, icon — we’ll catch up. Eventually.

BIM Tips #3: Leverage Workset Wisely
Welcome to our BIM Tips series!

Worksets are a powerful way to manage large projects and improve collaboration in BIM. When used correctly, they help organize the model, control visibility, and keep performance smooth. When used poorly, they create confusion and slow everyone down.

Here are 3 usefull guidelines for managing Worksets effectively:

  • Keep it clean: model elements in their correct Workset to maintain order.
  • Audit regularly: review Worksets using dedicated 3D views or the Workset filter in the bottom bar.
  • Boost performance: close Worksets you’re not actively using to speed up the model.

Conclusion: a clear Workset strategy helps prevent mistakes and keeps the team working efficiently.

A big thank you to everyone who submitted nominations—and a huge congratulations to this month’s recognized team members!

It’s always uplifting to see kindness, collaboration, and hard work celebrated.

Remember, recognition doesn’t have to be for something huge—sometimes a simple gesture, a helpful hand, or a moment that brightened someone’s day is more than enough.

Let’s continue to lift each other up and celebrate the everyday wins. We hope to see new faces here every month—everyone’s impact matters.

Sara’s Book recommendation

Title: El peligro de estar cuerda by Rosa Montero

Rosa Montero weaves memoir, essay, and storytelling into a brilliant exploration of the ties between creativity and madness. With humor and warmth, she reminds us that imagination and eccentricity are not flaws, but essential to living fully. Inspiring, witty, and deeply human—this book invites us to embrace our quirks as a source of strength.

Caro´s recommendations

I want to recommend two TV shows that you can find on Apple TV. The first one is called The Last Thing He Told Me. It stars Jennifer Garner and Jamie (from Game of Thrones). He’s a tech developer or something, and then something happens that forces him to run away. She stays behind with his daughter (they got married after he already had her — the mom had passed away). Anyway, it’s a thriller about them trying to find answers while also learning how to love each other. It’s really good, and Jennifer is just so lovely!  And the second one… you’ll have to read in October’s Newsletter 😉

Do not Watch

The Gorge is almost unwatchable. At first, you think you’re stepping into a dramatic wartime love story, but then—out of nowhere—zombies appear. The mix feels so absurd it pulls you completely out of the film.

Oscar´s recommendations

The International Biennial of Art and City, BOG25, proposes to view Bogotá as a work in itself. Walking through the city amidst increasingly overwhelming daily routines often leads to the architecture becoming invisible.
