Project Details

Moya Design Partners developed a comprehensive interior renovation and reorganization of the Petworth Neighborhood Library to better support current and future community needs, with a particular focus on youth services, functionality, accessibility, human-centered design, and design excellenceThe selective demolition and reconfiguration relocated the Teen area to the second floor and the Adult Services to the first floor to maximize community impact. MOYA’s interior design scope included interior wall repairs and treatments, the installation of new inspirational environmental graphics and wayfinding signage, and the replacement of flooring, furniture and fixtures, and historic windowsTo optimize building performance, the MEP renovation scope included installation of additional water fountains and upgrades to power, data, acoustics, and audiovisual systems, as well as targeted upgrades to HVAC systems, including the Library’s Building Automation System.
