Alejandro Ochoa is a Graphic Designer at MOYA, specializing in social media content creation and motion graphics that combine creativity, strategy, and technical precision. He develops multimedia assets, motion-based visuals, video edits, and branded content that enhance MOYA’s communications and strengthen the firm’s visual identity. With advanced proficiency in Adobe After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator, XD, and Lightroom, he brings polished execution and a modern visual sensibility to every project he supports.

Before joining MOYA, Alejandro built a strong portfolio working with hospitality, tourism, and commercial brands in the United States and Colombia. As a Social Media Designer at Tambourine in Fort Lauderdale, he produced visual content for hotels, restaurants, and tourism destinations, creating videos, animations, and digital graphics aligned with brand standards and marketing objectives. His background in graphic design, audiovisual communication, and multimedia production gives him the ability to approach each project with both creative clarity and technical expertise.

Outside of work, Alejandro enjoys staying active and exploring creative pursuits. He likes playing soccer and volleyball, making music, and traveling whenever he can. These interests reflect his energy, curiosity, and commitment to continual growth, qualities that also define his work as a multimedia designer at MOYA.

Santiago Ramírez Navarro is a Junior Project Designer at MOYA, where he contributes to the development of thoughtful, functional, and aesthetically driven architectural and interior design solutions. He collaborates closely with senior designers and project teams to produce detailed drawings, interior concepts, and technical documentation that reflect MOYA’s design standards and client expectations. With a strong foundation in BIM, visualization, and construction documentation, Santiago brings precision, creativity, and reliability to each phase of the design process.

His experience spans projects in the United States and Colombia, giving him a well-rounded perspective on diverse architectural needs and workflows. At Lasky Architect P.A., he developed comprehensive blueprints for large-scale franchise projects across the U.S., ensuring brand alignment and technical accuracy. As a Junior Architect at Next Generation Builders, he supported BIM implementation and produced detailed construction documents for residential projects in California. His previous work in Bogotá further strengthened his skills in technical drawing, construction detailing, rendering, and on-site coordination, building a multidisciplinary skill set that enhances every project he contributes to at MOYA.

Outside of work, Santiago is passionate about sports and staying active. He enjoys watching and playing soccer, practicing martial arts, playing tennis, and following Formula 1. He also dedicates time to the gym, focusing on strength and overall well-being. These interests reflect his discipline, energy, and commitment to continuous personal growth, qualities that also define his approach as a designer and architect.

Alessandro Carpentieri is the Proposal Coordinator at MOYA, where he plays a key role in developing, organizing, and delivering high-quality proposals that support the firm’s strategic growth. With a focus on clarity, accuracy, and effective communication, he collaborates closely with project teams to gather information, structure content, and ensure all submissions reflect MOYA’s standards and vision. His strong writing, analytical skills, and attention to detail make him an essential partner in managing timelines, coordinating inputs, and producing polished, client-ready materials.

Bringing over a decade of experience across project management, customer operations, and IT support, Alessandro adds versatility and problem-solving strengths to the MOYA team. His background includes leading loyalty program development, managing customer support teams, optimizing processes, and handling technical systems, all roles that demanded coordination, organization, and a deep commitment to service excellence. This diverse expertise enhances MOYA’s ability to approach projects with efficiency, structure, and a client-focused mindset, while benefiting from Alessandro’s adaptability and proactive approach.

Outside of work, Alessandro channels his creativity into DIY projects, whether repairing or transforming spaces at home. He loves to cook and frequently experiments in the kitchen, preparing flavorful meals to share with others. An animal lover, he cares for his senior dog, senior cat, three younger cats, and even community animals in his neighborhood. Alessandro has also been practicing boxing for almost a year, a sport that helps him build coordination and endurance. In his downtime, he enjoys playing video games, reading, or playing bass guitar. Above all, he values spending quality time with his family and loved ones, which brings him the most joy.

In the industry since 1995 started off in the telecommunications industry for the largest communications company in Africa, moved into data communications with various communication platforms including cables, wireless and satellite. Started his own business in 1999 providing ISP services, started the first Wireless Internet Service provider in South Africa which was the springboard for various innovative products in the field of Wide Area Networks, interconnected management platforms, distributed and connected security systems (CCTV, Access Control and alarm systems) and centralized reporting platforms. The customer/user base grew to over 125,000 customers within 2 years and continued to grow.
In the United States since 2007 and joined Vision Security Solutions in 2011 as a PM; and been part of the growth of the business since then. Alex Davila is the project manager responsible for overseeing, managing, and executing quality control throughout the building process. He is actively involved in visting the construction site to ensure the project meets the deadline and quality standards. Alex’s duties include conducting inspections, audits, and surveillance to confirm that quality control procedures are being followed. Alex diligently maintains daily records of all the completed tasks to keep track of the status of inspection activities. He monitors the construction site and ensures that the quality control measures are in place. Alex is proactive and keeps a clsoe eye on the construction site to prepare for impending inspections. Moreover, he keeps track of every long-lead item to ensure its timely release and delivery.

Mr. Albert Condello brings over 21 years of health safety and environment (HSE) knowledge and experience to this project. Mr. Condello is a detail-oriented professional with good multitasking and recordkeeping abilities and a strong educational background in the Occupational and Environmental Health and Safety/Loss Prevention field. Responsibilities have included initial development, implementation, and maintenance of compliance and loss prevention programs and policies. Mr. Condello provides detailed audit reports with relevant required preventive and corrective measures to ensure health, safety, environment, and security requirements are implemented by appropriate personnel and contractors in all major project work areas.

Mr. Aziz Zaki brings over 15 years of construction knowledge and experience to the DC Stabilization and Sobering Center Renovation project. He has a thorough knowledge of all types of building construction materials and methods and related codes and ordinances. He has the ability to read and interpret building and construction plans, specifications, and blueprints accurately and to ensure an accurate estimate is produced.

The project will provide new amenities for the park, including sculptures, permeable paving, new lighting and a mix of custom and DPR standard seating. Additional improvements include tables for gathering and games, as well as new plantings.

Key Elementary School, Noyes Elementary School, and Sousa Middle School Boilers Replacement | Washington, DC | Assistant Project Manager | 2024 | All three of these schools were constructed prior to 1960 and had aging boiler systems that were in desperate need of upgrading. The project replaced two boilers with high efficiency modulating condensing boilers of similar capacity for the Key Elementary School. Noyes Elementary School and the Sousa Middle School both had three boilers replaced.

Rye Street Tavern | Baltimore, MD | 2023-2024 Architectural Designer. Rye Street Tavern was a renovation and outdoor addition to an existing restaurant. For this project, I performed the following tasks: • Developed design development, bid, and construction sets. • Assembled specification packages. • Created design presentations. • Participated in client meetings.

Urban Grape | Washington, DC | 2024 Architectural Designer | Urban Grape was an interior fit-out for a wine store. For this project, I performed the following tasks: • Developed construction sets and presentations. • Participated in client meetings. • Assisted in construction administration.

Mr. Moussamim is a Senior Project Manager for the Construction Department. A graduate of the New York Institute of Architecture, and a Masters from Virginia Tech, Saad brings a wealth of project management and architectural knowledge to the organization. Formerly an employee of Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Mr. Moussamim worked on several multi-million-dollar projects with GSA and the Fairfax Co. He has managed over $200 million in contracted work and has 10+ years of project management and architectural experience. His extensive background has enabled him to work on a wide range of projects and at different phases of completion.

Mr. Moussamim not only has the experience and skills to manage a project from the design to implementation to completion, but he has shown the ability to identify and compete for additional  opportunities. His outstanding verbal skills to effectively communicate the needs of the client(s), vendor(s), and the organization. He has worked on and submitted several proposals to the DC Government. His last awarded proposal was for $5.8 million. This cross departmental experience will make him a valuable asset to Business Development team as well!

Mr. Moussamim has a proven track record to get progress moving forward. With an eye towards continuing education, he is currently a PhD candidate at the University of the District of Columbia. He also looks forward to being able to teach others in the near future.

Adam is a Senior Mechanical Engineer at Engenium Group, with over six years of experience in designing mechanical systems for a variety of projects, ranging from small-scale interior fit-ups, to large-scale multifamily renovation projects. Adam is recognized as a leader within the Engenium team through is ability to communicate clearly, effictively, and efficently. His experience includes designing state-of-the art sustainable systems for a variety of projects, and places a high-value on prioritizing bringing sustainability into MEP design.

Juan Carlos Peñuela is a skilled IT Operations and AI Manager responsible for optimizing and overseeing MOYA’s digital infrastructure. He leads the firm’s IT systems, security, and remote collaboration tools, ensuring seamless operations in a virtual environment. As the primary IT contact, he provides comprehensive technical support, troubleshooting, and strategic guidance to enhance efficiency and drive the adoption of innovative technologies. 

With over 15 years of experience in IT leadership, Juan Carlos has a strong background in managing large-scale IT service operations, strategic planning, and technology-driven transformation. He has worked with global organizations, leading cross-functional teams, IT project management, and infrastructure upgrades. His expertise spans Agile methodologies, ITIL guidelines, and PMI frameworks, making him highly effective at aligning IT strategies with business goals while ensuring operational excellence. 

Outside of work, Juan Carlos is passionate about cooking and enjoys experimenting in the kitchen whenever he has the chance. Daniela Morris is a Senior Graphic Designer at MOYA Creative, where she leads the design process for a variety of projects, delivering visually engaging and innovative designs. Collaborating closely with the creative team, she develops cohesive visual identities and design solutions that align with MOYA’s brand vision across both print and digital platforms. Daniela also supports the development of RFPs and graphic design proposals, contributing to the firm’s efforts to secure new business opportunities. 

Daniela holds a degree in Graphic Design from Universidad Jorge Tadeo Lozano, a renowned institution in Colombia with a strong reputation for its design programs. There, she built a strong foundation in branding, editorial and advertising design, and photography. With experience managing branding strategies, creating social media content, and developing editorial materials for both digital and print media, Daniela has refined her skills in conceptualization, abstraction, and innovative problem-solving. Her background working with international clients has also given her a global perspective and adaptability in her creative work. 

Outside of her professional role, Daniela enjoys playing the bass guitar as a creative outlet to explore rhythm and sound. She also loves spending time with her cats and finds joy in experimenting in the kitchen, where she enjoys cooking vegan dishes and trying out new recipes. Dalal Missri currently serves as Proposal Coordinator at MOYA, where she supports the development and production of compelling proposals that communicate the firm’s design vision and capabilities. With a focus on quality assurance and technical accuracy, she collaborates closely with architects, designers, and leadership to ensure that every submission is tailored, visually engaging, and strategically aligned with client needs and project goals. 

Dalal brings over five years of multidisciplinary experience in quality assurance, urban planning, and project coordination. Her background spans both public and private sectors, including work with municipalities and international firms such as Globant. Dalal has managed technical documentation, led cross-functional testing efforts, and ensured compliance across various platforms. Her expertise in transforming complex information into clear, structured content makes her a valuable asset to MOYA’s business development team, strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality proposals on time and with precision.

Sara Orozco is a Researcher and Proposal Writer at MOYA, where she collaborates closely with the business development team to craft compelling, strategic proposals that reflect the firm’s design vision and values. Drawing

on her legal background and analytical expertise, she plays a key role in developing content that aligns with client goals, while ensuring clarity, precision, and impact across all submission materials.

With over a decade of experience in law and an LL.M. in Business and Commercial Law, Sara brings a unique perspective to MOYA’s creative and operational processes. Her professional background spans both the public and private sectors, including roles at the Office of the President of Colombia, the Administrative Department of the Public Function, and Fox Network Group. She has advised on multi-million-dollar investment projects, led teams in high-stakes litigation, and developed legal strategies for complex international business transactions, always with a focus on growth, innovation, and regulatory excellence.

Outside of work, Sara is passionate about languages, literature, fashion, sports, and digital technologies. She’s currently studying French and enjoys diving into fiction—her love for storytelling led her to take a creative writing course with Colombian author Carolina Sanín. Sara also finds joy in cooking at home and once explored her interest in the culinary arts by taking French pastry courses during college, blending creativity with craftsmanship. These personal pursuits reflect her curiosity, cultural awareness, and appreciation for both detail and expression.

Bernardo Corrales is the IT Manager at MOYA, responsible for safeguarding and enhancing the company’s IT infrastructure. His expertise in cybersecurity and IT consulting comes from working in Latin America, the USA, and the EU. Bernardo handles various aspects of corporate IT security, including system design and development, from the initial requirements to ongoing support. 

During his tenure at MOYA, Bernardo has improved MOYA’s IT infrastructure by implementing cloud services, optimizing system performance, and maintaining strict security protocols. His work with virtualization technologies, particularly in financial institutions, has been recognized for its innovation.  

Originally from Costa Rica, Bernardo holds a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and is a Microsoft Certified Professional. When not navigating the complexities of IT, he is a dedicated father of three, which keeps him equally engaged and busy. 

Fernando Bermudez is the Operations Manager at MOYA. With over a decade of experience in operational and program management, his approach to operations management is multifaceted, combining strategic planning, analytical talent, and excellent people skills. His proficiency in Microsoft Excel and his ability to multitask and proactively address challenges make him a key asset in driving efficiency and innovation within the team. 

Fernando’s career includes key roles in brand protection, intellectual property enforcement, and workforce management. He has adeptly managed complex operations, aligning team efforts with client objectives while maintaining high standards of quality control. His expertise in tools like Microsoft Excel and his analytical skills make him invaluable in strategizing and executing plans.  

Fernando holds a degree in Systems Engineering from the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (UNI) in Managua, Nicaragua, where he is from. His academic achievements include winning accolades for his project on Marketing Strategies for Dried Tropical Fruits. Outside of work, Fernando is a specialty coffee aficionado and dedicates his free time to recreational reading.

Kareem Priestley, an experienced accountant at Moya, has over 18 years of finance expertise. His proficiency spans a range of accounting practices, including accounts payable, receivable, payroll, financial reporting, and treasury functions. Kareem’s role is pivotal in ensuring smooth financial interactions with clients, vendors, and subconsultants, contributing significantly to the firm’s operational efficiency. 

Before his tenure at MOYA, Kareem demonstrated his financial acumen as the Director of Accounting at Royalty Solutions and Concord Music Group Inc. in New York. Here, he adeptly handled general accounting operations, played a key role in external audits, and skillfully managed the transition of financial data across software platforms. 

Kareem’s academic foundation in finance is rooted in a Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Clark Atlanta University. Originally from New York, Kareem enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends in the city that never sleeps. 

Nelson Ruiz is the Financial and HR Controller at MOYA, where he oversees the firm’s financial strategy, planning, and resource management. With a strong focus on compliance, budgeting, and internal controls, Nelson ensures that MOYA’s operations remain sustainable, scalable, and aligned with business objectives. He plays a key role in maintaining financial health while supporting talent development and team growth across the company. 

With over 20 years of experience in finance and administration, Nelson has led multidisciplinary teams of up to 500 people across Latin America, primarily in complex industries like mining, oil and gas, and manufacturing. He has held executive roles at multinational companies including EP Mining Company, TOTAL France, and World Fuel Services. His expertise spans financial forecasting, internal audits, IFRS and US GAAP reporting, and the implementation of lean and shared services models. At MOYA, his strategic mindset and operational leadership strengthen the company’s foundation and support its continued evolution. 

Outside of the office, Nelson enjoys staying active through gym workouts, swimming, and team sports like rugby and fútbol. He’s currently learning to play the drums and finds balance in physical movement and music—a combination that mirrors his dynamic and disciplined approach to life and work. 

Carola Luna is the Creative Director at MOYA Creative, where she leads the creative strategy, overseeing the team and collaborating with clients to deliver visionary and high-quality visual designs. Drawing on her strong architectural background and sharp eye for detail, Carola blends architecture, interior design, and graphic design to approach each project with a unique, multidisciplinary perspective. Her deep understanding of design storytelling allows her to craft compelling visual narratives that align with MOYA’s vision and objectives, ensuring that each project communicates a clear and cohesive design intent across all platforms. 

Carola’s diverse experience spans multiple creative disciplines, enabling her to navigate seamlessly between architecture, interior design, and graphic design. Laura’s filmmaking is notably supported by The Sundance Institute and Catapult Film Fund, earning her features in prestigious publications like Variety Magazine and The Washington Post. Her directorial debut, “The Rights of Butterflies” (AFI Docs 2012), played a pivotal role in the passing of the DREAM Act in Maryland. Her ongoing project, “What The Pier Gave Us,” initially a short film at BAMCinemaFEST 2021, is evolving into a feature-length documentary. Additionally, Laura’s commercial editing work includes projects for the New York Times, HP, L’Oreal, and Zenni. 

Her educational journey is marked by a prestigious full-ride scholarship at NYU’s Tisch Arts Department, an honor bestowed to only two students, leading to a BFA in Film & TV Production. Originally from Colombia, Laura’s passion extends beyond filmmaking; she is deeply engaged in community and educational activities, reflecting her commitment to impactful storytelling and diverse representation in the arts. 

Florencia Branchicella, a dynamic Digital and Motion Designer at MOYA Creative, brings over a decade of experience. Her expertise in creating data-driven visual narratives integrates client objectives across various platforms. She’s skilled in UX/UI design, ensuring digital products are user-centric, aesthetically pleasing, and functionally intuitive. Her versatile approach tailors visual elements uniquely for each project, from concept to delivery. 

Florencia’s career includes leading design campaigns and providing art direction for international clients in Asia, North America, and South America. Her extensive experience spans various sectors, including music video scripting, editing, and art direction in the K-POP industry. 

Florencia, originally from Argentina, holds a Graphic Design degree from UBA and is fluent in Spanish, English, and Korean. An avid traveler, she enjoys exploring her home country, spending time in the southern regions like Tierra del Fuego and the Isla Pinguino Puerto Deseado. These visits allow her to admire the unique ecosystems of Patagonia, including its famous penguin colonies. 

Romina Pereyra is a dynamic Graphic Designer and Illustrator at MOYA Creative, where she combines her artistic talent with technical skill to create compelling visual narratives. With over a decade of experience in branding, editorial design, and illustration, she specializes in crafting data visualizations, custom graphics, and interactive content for both digital and print media. At MOYA, Romina collaborates closely with clients, developing brand guidelines, reports, case studies, and other essential visual assets that resonate with audiences globally and elevate brand identities. 

Before joining MOYA, Romina refined her skills as a Graphic Designer at several prestigious firms. Her journey in dynamic environments, including JWT and Newlink, enabled her to contribute to various projects, developing expertise across different media. Romina’s artistic abilities extend to the realm of illustration, where she has showcased her talent for global publishers like Grupo Edelvives and Jacobin, as well as for organizations such as CIPDH-UNESCO and government agencies like the Ministry of Education of Buenos Aires. 

A proud alumna of the University of Buenos Aires, where she is from, Romina earned her degree in Graphic Design, deepening her understanding and love for the craft.  Beyond her professional pursuits, Romina is fervently committed to cultural arts, finding joy in exploring new destinations through travel and attending both artistic and sports events. 

Andrea Leal is a Graphic Designer at MOYA, where she specializes in the visual development of proposals and marketing materials. As the editorial designer on the Business Development team, she ensures that written content is paired with impactful, visually compelling design that reflects MOYA’s excellence in storytelling and design innovation. With a keen eye for detail and a strong sense of visual identity, Andrea plays a vital role in shaping how the firm communicates its vision to clients and partners.

Before joining MOYA, Andrea worked with a range of public and nonprofit organizations including the National Center for Historical Memory, the Special Jurisdiction for Peace, and the International Organization for Migration. She has led the design of more than 60 publications, developed educational content, and created visual strategies for large-scale communication initiatives—often in the context of post-conflict, reconciliation, and human rights. Her work merges aesthetics with purpose, using design to enhance public engagement and support meaningful causes.

Outside of her professional work, Andrea is deeply immersed in the editorial and music scene. She co-runs a creative collective with friends, producing fanzines, illustrations, and music, all rooted in independent publishing and collaborative expression. She’s passionate about concerts, visual storytelling, and projects that blend design with social impact. Her creative world is fueled by curiosity, community, and a love for both planning and spontaneity—whether she’s designing a book, attending a live show, or crafting the next zine.

 

Ana Polettini currently works as an Interior Designer at MOYA, developing architectural and interior projects across various sectors. With over 13 years of experience, she focuses on multifamily, commercial, and civic sectors, playing a crucial role in managing complex interior design projects, test fits, construction documents, and client presentations. 

Ana has a proven track record in team coordination and project management, ensuring accuracy in architectural projects and documentation. She has been involved in the design of the Starbucks Brazil as Head of Architecture and Design and was a Senior Architect Lead at WeWork LATAM, delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget. 

Originally from Brazil, Ana holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture and Urbanism and two Graduate specializations, one in Enterprise and Project Management in Civil Construction and other in Interior Design, Decoration and Ambiance. Ana is passionate about events and party planning, driven by her love for hosting events that foster new connections and strengthen relationships with friends and colleagues. 

As the Director of Interiors at MOYA, Adrian Saunders brings almost two decades of experience in designing and crafting meaningful interior spaces. He leads a team dedicated to developing innovative design concepts from inception to completion, focusing on environments that enhance learning and community engagement. His expertise is evident in projects for schools, community centers, and government buildings, where he blends community feedback with strategic placemaking. Adrian’s responsibilities also include selecting materials, code compliance, overseeing project implementation, and ensuring quality design execution, all while playing a pivotal role in client relations and supporting the firm’s growth and creative vision. 

Prior to MOYA, Adrian developed a rich portfolio across various design fields. As Stratacomm’s Associate Director of Studio Services, he oversaw studio operations. At DowntownDC BID, he managed digital design projects, including web and graphic design, app development, and social media. His time at DDOT was marked by expertise in graphic and digital media design, while at Blackburn Architects, P.C., he focused on design, master planning, Building Information Modeling (BIM), 3D rendering, and construction administration. 

Adrian holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from The Catholic University of America, where he also pursued a Master of Architecture. Outside of his professional life, Adrian is passionate about exploring emerging technologies and is an avid fan of science fiction. He places great importance on family, actively involving himself in his children’s sporting events and cherishing moments that foster strong family connections. 

Renata Orozco is a Project Designer known for her people-centric and sustainable architectural design expertise. At MOYA, she specializes in crafting interior layouts for large-scale multi-family projects, often exceeding 400 units. Her design philosophy revolves around understanding the social needs of communities and incorporating sustainability principles into her work, resulting in spaces that enhance the lives of their occupants. 

Before joining MOYA, Renata made significant contributions at the internationally renowned Tatiana Bilbao Estudio, where she actively participated in diverse projects spanning exhibition, residential, office, health, and cultural design. She also played a key role in the development of urban master plans for Naucalpan, Mexico State, Mexico, during her time at Planeación y Desarrollo Arquitectonico. 

Renata is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Urban Development Projects at Universidad Iberoamericana, Ciudad de México. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from the same university, with a specialization in Urbanism. Renata enriched her education further through an exchange program at Istituto Lorenzo de’ Medici in Florence, Italy, where she explored topics such as Transportation Architecture, Public Space Design, and Urbanism. Originally from Mexico, she is an avid hiker, exploring the majestic slopes of her country’s Iztaccihuatl Volcano and the breathtaking vistas of Norway’s Trolltunga. 

With over two decades of experience, Catie Balagtas holds a Master of Arts in Sustainable International Development from Brandeis University, a Graduate Certificate in Hotel Planning and Design from Cornell University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Art & Design and Chinese Studies from Connecticut College. Experience at Terrapin Bright Green, developing project proposals, managing client relations, and presenting on sustainability topics, has allowed her to develop expertise in both project management and sustainable design.  

Throughout her career, Catie has demonstrated her proficiency in graphic design, coupled with essential soft skills such as adaptability, creativity, and critical thinking. She has contributed significantly to high-profile projects, including the Merdeka 118 Tower in Malaysia, Portland International Airport Terminal Redevelopment in Oregon, and JPMorgan Chase Headquarters in New York City. Additionally, she coauthored Nature Inside, A Biophilic Design Guide, which showcases her commitment to integrating biophilic design principles in architecture.  

Catie’s dedication to sustainability is evidenced by her LEED and WELL Accredited Professional credentials. Recognized for her contributions to environmental design, she has received awards such as the Achievement Award for “The Economics of Biophili” from the Environmental Design Research Association. Additionally, Catie is a polyglot, proficient in English, Spanish, Thai, Mandarin, and Filipino, enabling her to engage with diverse teams and clients globally. 

Laura Romero is an Architect and Interior Designer at MOYA, where she contributes to the design of creative, user-centered spaces across residential, commercial, and corporate sectors. Her role spans concept development, space planning, 3D visualization, and the detailed execution of interior architecture, all driven by a commitment to both aesthetic quality and client vision. 

With over six years of professional experience, Laura has worked on more than 40 architectural projects—75% of which have been built—demonstrating her ability to deliver tangible, well-crafted results. She has developed large-scale interiors in the U.S. and Latin America, and has led award-winning designs, including the redesign of the women’s section for Adidas stores. Her expertise in tools such as Revit, 3ds Max, and V-Ray enhances her ability to communicate design intent with clarity and impact, making her a valuable asset to the MOYA team. 

Outside the studio, Laura enjoys indoor cycling, working out, and going on long walks with her dog. She finds inspiration in everyday movement and balance—whether watching a new series or exploring wellness activities—which she channels into the thoughtful, human-centered environments she designs. 

As the Building Information Modeling (BIM) Coordinator at MOYA, Carla Scuticchio plays a pivotal role in maintaining the firm’s BIM standards and practices. She expertly coordinates the development and integration of BIM models across various design teams, ensuring strict adherence to MOYA’s BIM guidelines. Her role involves collaborative engagement with stakeholders, adeptly resolving BIM-related issues, and guiding and training staff in BIM methodologies. Her proficiency in BIM coordination markedly enhances the efficiency and precision of MOYA’s design and construction processes. 

With over nine years of experience in BIM, Carla has significantly impacted architecture in Argentina, France, Uruguay, and the U.S., focusing on collective housing and mixed-use projects. Her accolades include 1st place in a national contest for sustainable, emergency housing design and an honorable mention as a Distinguished Young Professor at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, showcasing her blend of professional and academic excellence. 

Originating from Argentina, Carla earned her Master’s degree in Architecture from the University of Buenos Aires. In her leisure time, she enjoys ceramics in her home studio and roller skating in the park. 

Daniela Schenone, a Senior Project Designer at MOYA with over thirteen years of experience in project design, construction management, and Building Information Modeling (BIM), plays a pivotal role in overseeing the firm’s multifamily residential projects, which often exceed four hundred units. Her expertise encompasses all phases of project design, from initial concept development to comprehensive construction administration. Daniela excels at translating design concepts into detailed architectural plans, collaborating effectively with clients, consultants, and architects to ensure compliance with building codes, and actively contributing to the selection of materials and products. Her extensive experience and versatile skillset are instrumental in bringing architectural visions to life while adhering to functional and regulatory requirements. 

 Daniela Schenone has had a career in architecture and project management, including key roles at WeWork Latin America and OZ Global, where she managed the construction of 500,000+ square feet of office space for clients like Coca-Cola and Microsoft. She excelled in positions as a Senior Project Architect and Director of Operations, overseeing multifamily housing and educational projects. Daniela also demonstrated her project management skills at Caramel LTD and Craft-Studio, focusing on resource management and success. Earlier, as a BIM Specialist at Bryant Mitchell Architects in Washington DC, she contributed to design solutions and ensured building code compliance, highlighting her architectural versatility. 

 Daniela holds a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of the District of Columbia, where she not only completed her studies but was also an active participant in the AIAS DC Chapter. Prior to this, she studied Architecture at the Facultad de Arquitectura, Diseño y Urbanismo (FADU), UBA in Argentina. Originally from Argentina, Daniela finds joy in quality time with her son and the exploration of new places. 

Marisa King, a LEED-certified architect specializing in community-centric design, focuses on schools, libraries, community centers, and civic projects. She infuses her designs with biophilic and modular elements, bringing a unique perspective to contemporary architecture. As a Project Architect at MOYA, she oversees design development, construction document production, and project coordination. Marisa’s experience in the Washington DC Metropolitan area includes active involvement in community engagement and liaising with local authorities like the Commission of Fine Arts, Historic Preservation Office, and DOB. 

Previously, Marisa contributed to various public construction and renovation projects with DC-area firms, including LEED-certified recreation centers, schools, public libraries, and sustainable multi-family housing. Her role also encompassed community outreach and construction administration. 

Marisa holds a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Virginia Tech, where she graduated Magna Cum Laude with University Honors and Dean’s List honors. She participated in the Architecture Europe Travel Program and received accolades such as the Steve + Cathi House Travel Scholarship, the AIA Virginia Society Prize, and the Rising Sophomore Leadership Award. Marisa is a licensed Architect in the District of Columbia and Maryland.  A proud Virginia Tech alum, Marisa is dedicated to mentoring future female designers and volunteers her design expertise for non-profits in developing countries. 

As a Project Architect at MOYA, Johnathan is responsible for overseeing a wide range of architectural design projects. He specializes in master planning, residential development, and hospitality design. In 2023 Johnathan launched the Maritime Design practice, which expanded MOYA’s hospitality portfolio. Within the MOYA team, Johnathan plays a crucial role in working with teams to brainstorm and manage projects, combining his creative design skills with technical knowledge. His approach prioritizes the integration of innovative ideas into practical solutions.  

Previously, Johnathan worked with award-winning firms in Washington, D.C., and Atlanta. There, he honed his skills in interior design, focusing on both corporate and residential projects. His tenure at these firms saw him engaging in varied aspects of design and architecture, further refining his professional capabilities. Johnathan has a strong commitment to mentoring, often tutoring young architects and contributing to the growth of the profession. 

Johnathan’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Architecture from Florida Atlantic University and a Master of Arts in Architecture from the University of Westminster, London. Johnathan is licensed Architect in the District of Columbia, Georgia, Maryland, and North Carolina. His professional journey is complemented by a passion for fitness, cruises, and discovering new local restaurants and music scenes. 

At MOYA, Gabriela Dinerstein serves as BIM Manager Consultant, playing a pivotal role in maintaining and advancing the firm’s BIM standards and practices. She expertly coordinates the development and integration of BIM models across design teams, ensuring consistency, quality, and adherence to MOYA’s guidelines. Gabriela works closely with project stakeholders to resolve BIM-related challenges, enhance collaboration, and provide training and guidance to staff on BIM methodologies. Her leadership significantly improves the precision and efficiency of the firm’s design and construction workflows. 

Gabriela brings deep expertise in sustainable design and BIM, combining technical skill with a commitment to environmentally responsible architecture. Before joining MOYA, she led BIM efforts at Mario Roberto Álvarez y Asociados in Argentina, contributing to high-profile projects such as the Foster + Partners tower. Her portfolio spans corporate, multifamily, and civic projects, demonstrating both versatility and a strong command of complex project coordination. 

She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a postgraduate specialization in BIM, where she also taught Revit and BIM courses. Gabriela has also studied public building design in Paris. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the intersection of technology and sustainable design. 

As the Senior Design Manager at MOYA, Marilaura Guerrero brings over a decade of architectural experience with a focus on project coordination, technical production, and team support. In her role, she ensures that projects are well-organized, deadlines are met, and design standards are upheld, all while contributing hands-on expertise in Revit and documentation. She supports Project Managers and Principals by translating client and consultant feedback into actionable tasks, guiding workflows, and keeping production on track. Dedicated to mentoring junior designers and fostering collaboration, she exemplifies MOYA’s commitment to excellence in both teamwork and design.

Marilaura’s career includes experience at architectural firms in Maryland and Puerto Rico, where she developed specialized expertise in concrete and wood construction, with a focus on multifamily housing and educational facilities. Her contributions have shaped projects in Atlanta, Orlando, and Puerto Rico, emphasizing thoughtful design solutions that deliver long-term value to communities and clients alike.

She earned architectural degrees from the Universidad de Puerto Rico and the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she was recognized as a Thesis Nominee and an Honors Scholar. Outside of work, Marilaura enjoys time with family, celebrating her Puerto Rican heritage, and finding creative inspiration in music and nature.

Juan Esteban Monsalve is a Senior Project Designer at MOYA, where he leads the design and coordination of high-impact interior architecture projects across residential, commercial, and institutional sectors. Drawing on a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach, Esteban plays a key role in transforming client visions into functional, innovative spaces, ensuring design excellence from concept through construction documentation and execution. 

With over 15 years of professional experience in both Colombia and the United States, Esteban has held leadership roles in architecture and interior design studios, as well as major development companies. He has directed teams on a wide range of projects—from hospitality renovations to large-scale commercial and urban developments. His strengths lie in creative problem-solving, team leadership, and technical precision, all of which enhance MOYA’s ability to deliver thoughtful, well-crafted design solutions. 

Outside of his professional work, Esteban is passionate about cinema, tennis, diving, and the arts. Whether exploring the depths of the ocean or the narrative layers of film, he finds inspiration in creativity and discovery. These personal passions infuse his work with a dynamic perspective and a deep appreciation for storytelling through space and design. 

Paola Moya, a Colombian-American entrepreneur, is known for founding MOYA. As CEO and Creative Director, she plays a multifaceted role of overseeing the design content and business direction of the companies. Her entrepreneurial ventures span diverse design fields including urban design, architecture, interiors, experiential design, communication strategies, digital media, and graphic design. Her approach to business and design is holistic, rooted in diverse perspectives and international influences, a philosophy that resonates throughout her team at MOYA. 

In her leadership capacity, Paola Moya places a strong emphasis on the value of a diverse and interdisciplinary team with a global outlook. She advocates for design excellence, and her companies are distinguished by their dedication to social causes. This is particularly evident in their work on affordable housing, support for non-profits, and organizing events like Art After Dark, which champions artists of color and tackles homelessness. 

Paola’s portfolio includes several high-profile projects in the Washington DC metropolitan area. These range from the site selection study for the Latino American Museum and American Women Museum to the renovation of the historic Howard Theatre, Audi Field, MGM National Harbor, public schools, thousands of affordable and market rate units and more. Her graduate thesis, awarded the highest award by the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), was presented at the United Nations-sponsored World Humanitarian Summit as a solution for internal displacement in Istanbul. Her work has been acclaimed by numerous organizations, including AIA, NOMA, the International Design Awards, and Built by Women. 

Her career is decorated with numerous honors. The Washington Business Journal recognized her as one of the “Power 100 Playmakers” and a “Minority Business Leader of the Year.” She has been acknowledged for her firm’s impact on the city’s architecture and was part of the “Woman Who Mean Business” class in 2020. Additionally, she received the Milton F. Clogg Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award from Montgomery College, and in 2022, the international WAN Female Frontier Awards. Her achievements have been spotlighted in Architect magazine, Huffington Post, Fox News, and CNN. In 2021, Paola was honored for her contributions to the economy and community during a discussion with Vice President Kamala Harris and Congresswoman Nanette Diaz Barragán, which focused on supporting Latina entrepreneurs and addressing systemic issues through the Biden-Harris Administration’s infrastructure bills. 

Paola’s journey began when she moved to the United States at 19 and completed her architectural studies while supporting her family. She earned her Bachelor’s and master’s in architecture from the Catholic University of America, and a finance certification from the Wharton School. Paola’s leadership extends beyond her professional achievements, as she emphasizes the importance of investing in family, friends, and self. She divides her time between Washington DC, North Carolina, and Medellin, alongside her husband and dog Charlie. 

Federico Olivera-Sala, an accomplished Partner and Design Principal at MOYA, has an extensive portfolio spanning almost three decades. His expertise in architectural design and management has contributed to the development of educational institutions, civic and community buildings, commercial projects, residential, and mixed-use buildings. Federico oversees the company’s growth, pursuing design excellence, and navigating projects through local, state, and federal approval processes. Under his leadership, numerous projects have earned industry accolades and met rigorous sustainability standards, including LEED and Enterprise Green Communities.  Notably, in 2023, Federico was appointed as an expert witness in Washington DC, to testify before Zoning Commission on PUD and BZA cases, a tribute to his extensive experience in master planning, mixed-use and multifamily projects.   

 Federico’s architecture career started in Argentina, where he started and managed an architectural and urban planning firm and served as a faculty member at the University of Belgrano School of Architecture. His move to the United States marked a significant career progression. Joining SK&I Architects in Bethesda, MD, he rapidly advanced to the role of Planning Division Director and Design Principal, contributing to over eighty projects that significantly enhanced the residential landscape throughout the east coast. 

Federico has a degree from the University of Belgrano School of Architecture. Beyond his professional achievements, he has a passion for soccer and music, having been a DJ in an Argentinian dance club in his earlier years. Today, Federico finds joy in spending quality time with his wife and three children.
