Oscar and Dalal kicked off a new business development pilot using a CRM-driven multi-touch strategy. So far, 3 of 20 targeted contacts have moved through the funnel — and early data is shaping future outreach.

ASYMCA Nears Completion
The 28,500 SF daycare center is almost done. Interior work is wrapping up, and the complex exterior ramps are underway — a feat of precision engineering (with 1.5-inch tolerances!). The team handled unexpected challenges like mechanical shifts, unique bathroom designs, and graphics coordination like pros.

Centronía Moves into DD Phase
Now in Design Development, the Centronía project features forest-inspired graphics, warm color palettes, and lovable characters designed by Romina. The team adapted quickly to client feedback, maintaining design clarity while streamlining classroom palettes.

Calya Construction Update
The Calya site in Medellín is rising fast. Construction teams poured the 6th floor slab this month and are on track to finish the roof by the last week of November. CMU block walls and structural work are progressing across both towers.

Hispanic Caucus Test Fit Begins
We’ve launched a new test fit for a potential building acquisition with the Hispanic Caucus, continuing a strong collaboration with their team. This is one of several new opportunities being scoped as part of BD’s growing pipeline.

Team Buzz

Kareem Earns His Master’s!
Let’s hear it for Kareem, who officially completed his master’s degree this month! The rest of us were just trying to finish our ClickUp tasks — he finished grad school.
Next stop: Doctor Kareem? We wouldn’t be surprised.

Johnathan’s Halloween Costume Hits Too Close to Home
This year, Johnathan is showing up to Halloween as the scariest thing imaginable:
An Architect in Deadline.
No makeup required — just haunted eyes, an unfinished section cut, and the scent of overnight coffee. Terrifying.

Back to School: MOYA x Colombian Society of Architects
Dani, Oscar, and Sara represented MOYA at the Colombian Society of Architecture Congress — where they finally met in person, sat in tiny desks again, and realized most of the crowd was… significantly younger.
Mood: honored, inspired, and just a little bit ancient. 🧓📐

Anniversaries & Birthdays
– Renata hit her 5-year MOYA anniversary this month — true OG status.
– Ana, Daniela, Carola, and Fede all celebrated birthdays!
And yes, Fede was once again crowned our Pumpkin Baby 🎃
BIM Tips #4: Understanding the CDE (Common Data Environment) | WIP, SHARED, PUBLISHED & ARCHIVED
Knowing where each file belongs ensures that everyone works with the right information at the right time!

Here’s a quick guide to what goes where:
- WIP (Work in Progress): your team’s workspace. Files here are under development and not ready for coordination or review.
- SHARED: for exchanging models or documents between teams once they’re ready for coordination. Shared files are stable but still open to updates.
- PUBLISHED: the official approved version used for documentation, construction, etc. Nothing in this folder should change without formal revision. e.g. a CD final set.
- ARCHIVED: the historical record. Old or previous versions go here for traceability, not for active use.
Conclusion: A clear folder discipline helps everyone stay aligned, reduces mistakes, and keeps our CDE organized.

Spooky M’s Are Here!
To celebrate Halloween, the team put their creative spells to work and gave the MOYA logo a haunted makeover!
From jack-o’-lanterns and graveyards to ghosts, bats, and witches — each version captures a different Halloween vibe, MOYA-style.
Scroll through and see how each team member made the “M” a little more monstrous this October 👻
A big thank you to everyone who submitted nominations—and a huge congratulations to this month’s recognized team members!
It’s always uplifting to see kindness, collaboration, and hard work celebrated.
Remember, recognition doesn’t have to be for something huge—sometimes a simple gesture, a helpful hand, or a moment that brightened someone’s day is more than enough.
Let’s continue to lift each other up and celebrate the everyday wins. We hope to see new faces here every month—everyone’s impact matters.

Must‑Watch: Black Bird
If you’re in the mood for a gripping true‑crime mini‑series, this one’s for you: A former high‑school football star turned drug dealer is offered a deal by the FBI—spend time in a maximum‑security prison and befriend a suspected serial killer, or serve a 10‑year sentence. What follows is a tense game of trust, betrayal, and survival.
Highly recommended for those who like dark twists, real stakes, and characters pushing their limits.

I’ve been testing Meshy lately, and it’s honestly a fun and powerful AI tool for architects to play with. You can quickly generate 3D models and visual ideas that spark creativity and help explore new concepts without spending hours modeling. It’s not just practical — it’s inspiring. Definitely worth trying if you want to experiment and see how AI can boost your design process.
